It's one of the priciest aspects, and yet, it seems like -- either as a result of the number of people at any given event, human error, or personal taste -- something is pretty much guaranteed to go wrong with the dinner, the cake, the dessert, or all of the above. From biting into styrofoam to bugs on a wedding cake, we've compiled 10 wedding food horror stories sure to make you laugh and cringe ... 1. "I went to a wedding [where] each table was a band. So when the DJ played a song from your 'band,' you could go to the buffet. Twenty tables and 20 three-minute songs later, everyone in the back was cranky, and the food was cold. Cute idea, bad DJ!" 2. "My friend's wedding planner knocked the cake onto the dance floor as she was wheeling it out for them to cut!" 3. Who in their right mind -- bride, groom, guest, etc. -- would want a piece of this wedding cake with bugs crawling up the tiers?! 4. Or how about this severed head cake, featuring the bride and groom's keppes and a side of "blood"? Mmm, appetizing! Bride Makes Severed Heads Wedding Cake 5. One woman tellsGlamour she ended up with food poisoning from wedding reception food and found herself stuck without a place to, uh, relieve herself! 6. ModernDaisy on WeddingBee.com recalled of one destination wedding , "The ceremony didn't start until 6:00 p.m. so all the guests were at the hotel bar waiting for the ceremony to start drinking away, thinking it would be fine since they would eat at cocktail hour. Wrong! The bride and groom wanted to save money so they didn't include any food, only booze. http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/movies/moviesnow/la-et-mn-movie-stories-2014-interstellar-divergent-kickstarter-2014-20140102,0,5545777.story Bad idea! Hugh Hefner throwing New Year?s Eve wedding anniversary party
by Natalie Finn Wed., Jan. 1, 2014 10:32 AM PST Loading... Is anyone having a better New Year's Day than Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting? The happy couple tied the knot last night after a whirlwind courtshipand since the bride went the refreshingly unpretentious route and posted pics from the reception on Instagram, we knew immediately that she wore pink! And now we know more. Cuoco's wore a custom, petal-pink strapless tulle ball gown by Vera Wang to swap vows with Sweeting. The dress had a sweetheart neckline, a hand-gathering detailed bodice and hand applique Chantilly lace accents. The veil, also by Wang, was nude tulle with petal-pink floating hand applique Chantilly lace. PHOTOS: Brides in Vera Wang We imagine Cuoco caused quite the big bang (or at least quite a stir) when the guests first got a glimpse of her. Speaking of which, among the reported 150 friends and family members at the fire-and-ice-themed reception were Cuoco's The Big Bang Theory costar (and real life ex-boyfriend) Johnny Galecki , according to Us Weekly . Not that we're surprised: When asked by E! News how he felt about Cuoco's engagement, Galecki told us he was "terribly happy" for her. The wedding was held at Hummingbird Nest Ranch, a Spanish-style villa and sprawling grounds tailor-made for parties (and the occasional film shoot) nestled in the Santa Susana Mountains, just north of Los Angeles. "Greatest night of beach formal dresses my entire life :)" Cuoco wrote on Instagram this morning, memories of her best New Year's Eve ever dancing in her head. CTRL-C or CMD-C, then press Enter.
